Comments: According to the song, Ziggy played guitar, and Ziggy really sang, and what he played and sang was Glam Rock. My 2018 introduction Ziggy Played Guitar has proven to be an exceptional garden plant and breeder, passing his unusual eye/midrib effect to most of his offspring, along with his exceptional rust resistance, thrips resistance and hardiness. I crossed ZPG with Frans Hals, a natural choice for strong plants, in 2014, and this is one of my favorites from that cross. Glam Rock is all tarted up and ready to hit the stage! The eye/midrib effect of ZPG, but in a bright cherry red flower. Flowering later than ZPG, it keeps the look going later into the season. Really striking in the garden, a good breeder, a very hardy plant with excellent increase and rebloom, Glam Rock is destined to rival ZPG for a place in the limelight.
