Magic Of Freya is from seeds I purchased in 2010. She has been one of my very favorite reds since first flower in 2012. To me, this is my ideal red color, along with the desirable white edge and green throat. Showing A+ rust resistance through all five years of my screening, Magic Of Freya is very pod fertile on a tallish scape and with nice foliage, great color and moderately high thrips resistance. She also breeds beautiful seedlings in a wide range of colors from dark pink through red and dark blackish red-purple tones. I have gotten a few near white/cream and a few light yellow seedlings as well. With the stunning pollen parent Scandinavia, Magic Of Freya really is a magical and majestic plant and flower, and a powerful and fertile mother plant that also has excellent breeding value for rust resistance. A stunning plant with nice branching and scape height, Magic Of Freya is magical in both the seedling bed and the garden.
